Language, in its written or spoken form, is one of the most exciting vehicles to Creation, ultimately to Art (perhaps, more ultimately, to what is Good). In the beginning there was Word and the Word was with God and Word was God (John 1:1) (I'm "speaking" metaphorically).

If it had not been for language, civilization as we know it today would not have been possible. But language without Meaning is Chaos, to which we return when we fail to use words in ways that make sense. Words are powerful mental (intellectual) tools and if we want to get our message across, we must know how to use them. Otherwise communication fails and we may hurt others, even ourselves.

Hi! My name is George Trialonis, a translator/interpreter from the town of Heraklion, Crete. On this site you can find words that make up stories and poems, even essays (in future). My intention is to entertain readers of all ages, in spite of the fact that some stories may be sad. In terms of vocabulary and style of writing, the poems are for mature readers. It gives me great pleasure to believe that some of the things I have written will be enjoyed by the reader. Please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail for comments, suggestions and critique.

Thank you for visiting.
